Dani got pierced!
So today we went and got Dani her ears pierced. They are so super cute! She did so good - I held her on my lap and the girls went one on each side, got situated, said 'Ready? One, Two, Three, NOW!" and Dani got real red, let out a good yell, and was all happy checking out her pretty new accessories in the mirror before 30 seconds was up!

Bathroom
Alright - back in February, we started our big bathroom reno. Yup, for 3 months (give or take some weeks) we have been working on getting our main bath all nice and spiffy. I promised before and after pics, and I got a few in-between pics too! (we even had to tear down the ceiling and walls around the tub to replace the insulation, then redo the drywall, mudding/taping and everything!) It was a first for both Chris and I, and we learned a lot along the way. I think it has turned out so awesome, and Chris did such a great job, considering he'd never done it before! When I asked him how he knew what he was doing, he said he just pays attention to what he's ripping out, and does it backwards with the new stuff. Crazy. I married such a capable man! Our next bathroom project will probably take half as long (fingers crossed) and will be even better, as we learned from our mistakes. (Like always wash the tile as good as you can as you go, so the grout doesn't have time to set...) But absolutely everthing is new or painted in this bath. From walls to cupboards, new tub, sink, countertop, mirror, light fixture, towel bars, tiling, taps, floors, window, and trim. It's nuts. But I'm proud, so here's the pictures...

GULP!
Here we go! I just listed the house for sale on WeList.com ad # 27761! Click here to see it. So this morning the phone rings, before 9 am, and there's people who want to have a viewing! We're freaking out a bit... We aren't really ready, but time was slipping by fast so we wanted to put it up and see what happens! Wish us luck!!

Dani got needles
Well, we headed to the Wellness Centre here in town today to get Dani her 6 mos shots. Yes, that's right. I said SIX months! Times flies when you gots a baby! So I just wanted to post a quick note to say how healthy my little lady is - she weighs 18 pds 10 ozs in the buff, and is 26.5 inches tall. She is in the 95th percentile for both, so that's good. Nice and big like her Daddy-O.
Anyway, better run here. Chris just got home with the new countertop & toilet for the bathroom and since I've hit what appears to be the end of my painting dudies (oh please oh please oh please please please - can it be for real??) I'm going to start on sorting and packing all of Zacs toys and stuff. He's a packrat, so wish me luck. I may not be seen from or heard from for days...

Random Recently
So the Z-man is on holidays to Saskatchewan, flew out on Friday morning. We are missing him as always, but know he's probably having lots of fun. He comes home on Saturday, so can't wait for that. I hope I have his room all cleaned up and freshly painted by then! I'd rather he not come home to have to sleep on the couch! :o)
Kaitlyn came down Thursday night for the weekend, which was awesome. We all took Zac in to the airport Friday am, then met Amy for brunch at Ricky's. Yum. I love food I don't have to cook myself! We spent the weekend just hanging out, watching movies, went for a walk, and Amy came out for Easter dinner on Sunday. I put a ham in the slow cooker with some pineapple, and we had scalloped potatoes and asparagus and corn and cheese biscuits and I think I'm going to go have some leftovers after this... ;op
So, Kait went home on Monday and we've spent since then working around the house, as always. Chris tiled the bath surround, and it looks super super fabulous! I'm so pumped to see what the finished result will look like!
So here are some pics from over the last little bit. They mainly are all af Dani this past weekend.
Dani sitting with Dad. Excuse the drool... it's constant.

Smiles!

This, unfourtunately, is the only pic I got of Dani with Auntie Kaitlyn. It's blurry. Boo.

"Sasha"!
Here are our pics of our trip on Friday to the breeders out by Red Deer. I packed up the kids and picked up Amy and we headed out to go get her her new baby!
The kids in the backseat, getting buckled in to go.
Here's Amy and Zac, waiting in the front yard of the farm. The breeders had run into town, and we beat them back by a few minutes, so we wandered around, checking out the animals etc.
Me and the kiddies.
Me and 'cupcake'.
Some of the farm animals, horses, sheep, goats...
The outdoor kennels. They breed all kinds of dogs, beagles, pugs, labradoodles.
The bunny
AND HERE's SASHA!
What a sweetie!

In her new home.
She is sooo tiny. Amy took her to the vet and she weighs one pound five ounces.
Hiding under Zacs legs.
Zac sure thought she was cute! He may have inherited his mothers love for animals...
Baby in her bag.
Welcome to the family Sasha! Congrats Amy!
